ETO Sterilizer: Core Systems & Engineering Solutions

Industrial ETO Sterilizer System

Ethylene Oxide (EO) sterilization is a complex, multi-stage process that requires a highly integrated infrastructure. At BOCON, our BCS Series ETO Sterilizers utilize ten advanced systems working in harmony to deliver safe, effective, and efficient sterilization for medical devices.

Inside the EO Sterilization Architecture

1. Vessel Chamber

The core pressure vessel designed for maximum durability, optimized in size for industrial throughput or compact transportation needs.

2. Controls System

A computerized PLC management system capable of executing multiple sterilizationrecipeswith digital precision and full data logging.

3. Recirculation System

Ensures a completely homogeneous atmosphere within the vessel, critical for consistent temperature and gas distribution.

4. Vacuum System

Establishes a safe environment by removing air and creating the pressure differentials required for deep gas penetration.

5. Nitrogen Injection

Introduces inert gas to maintain the chamber environment below the flammable limit, ensuring 100% explosion-proof operation.

6. Humidification

Maintains specific moisture levels (typically 60-80% RH) to enhance microbial lethality through the alkylation process.

7. Gassing System

Precisely vaporizes and injects 100% pure Ethylene Oxide or mixed gases into the vessel under automated control.

8. Abatement System

Advanced sterilant removal system that neutralizes waste gas post-sterilization, meeting strict environmental regulations.

9. Nitrogen Washes

A series of automated vacuum and nitrogen pulses designed to strip residual EO gas from product surfaces and packaging.

10. Air Inbleed

Introduces HEPA-filtered clean air back into the chamber once the cycle is complete, making the items safe for removal.

Why BOCON Systems Stand Out?

BOCON’s BCS Series ETO Sterilizers integrate these ten systems into a seamless, user-friendly interface. Our focus on safety redundancies (like dual Nitrogen washes) and environmental compliance (advanced Abatement) makes us the preferred choice for medical device manufacturers worldwide who prioritize both efficiency and corporate responsibility.
